Terms and conditions

This is an English translation of the Dutch algemene voorwaarden. If the two versions differ, the Dutch version applies.

1. Who are we?

These terms apply to the VCA Start app (in the stores: "VCA Start: examen oefenen"), offered by Maray Digital, Oostdorpseweg 18, 3176 PL Poortugaal, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 42139108, VAT number NL005528191B79, email info@maraydigital.nl.

2. When do these terms apply?

With every use of the app and with every purchase in the app. The terms of the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google) also apply to the payment.

3. What do you buy?

• A package gives access to 5 practice exams of one exam type (B-VCA or VOL-VCA) in one language, with explanations of the answers, results and read-aloud.
• Access lasts 4 weeks (28 days), counted from the moment of purchase. After that you can buy the package again.
• You choose the language before the purchase and cannot change it afterwards. For another language you buy a separate package.
• You can use the package on at most four devices, with the same Apple or Google account.
• An internet connection is needed to open an exam.
• Your results stay on your device after the access has ended.

The sample questions in the app are free; you don't need to buy anything for them.

4. Price and payment

The price is shown in the app and in the store, including VAT. You pay once through Apple or Google. There is no subscription and nothing is renewed automatically.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

A package is digital content that is delivered immediately after the purchase. By buying, you agree that delivery starts immediately, and you declare that you thereby waive your 14-day right of withdrawal. If you cannot use the package because of an error on our side, please contact us and we will find a solution. You request a refund from Apple or Google; they decide on it according to their own rules. If a purchase is refunded, the access stops.

6. Use of the app

• You receive a personal right to use the app and the purchased packages for practice. This right is not transferable.
• The questions, explanations, drawings and recordings are protected by copyright and belong to Maray Digital. You may not copy, capture (for example with screenshots or recordings), share, publish or resell them.
• You may not reverse engineer the app, bypass its security or share a purchase with others.
• In case of misuse, we may stop the access of a purchase without a refund.

7. Not an official VCA app

VCA Start is an independent practice app. We are not part of the SSVV (which manages VCA) or of an examination body, and the app has not been approved by them. We wrote the questions ourselves, based on the public exam requirements; they are not real exam questions. The real exam may have different questions and a different setup. A good result in the app is no guarantee that you will pass.

8. Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the app and the server available at all times, but cannot guarantee this, for example during maintenance or outages. We may improve and adjust the content, for example when the exam requirements change. What you bought (5 practice exams for 4 weeks) stays the same.

9. Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the package concerned. This does not apply if the damage is the result of intent or gross negligence on our part, and it does not limit any rights you have as a consumer by law.

10. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.

11. Questions and complaints

Email info@maraydigital.nl. We respond within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it together, you can bring the dispute before the competent court.

12. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another country of the European Union, you keep the protection that the law of that country gives you as a consumer.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page with a new date. A purchase is governed by the terms in force at the time of purchase.
